Taking It to the People
The Message Remains the Same

It's hard to believe that we are now in our fifth season of
Sidewalk Sunday School. Though things look a little different this summer, our message is the same.

We are often amazed at the number of people in the world who do not know God's love. Yes, they have heard about this God we all talk about, and this person we call a Savior, but they do not know His love. So many times we in the world exclude ourselves from the love of God. We start looking at things we do, or things we have done in the past, and think that God could never love us. We look at our social status in the world and believe that we don't fit into THE group who receives God's love. We see ourselves
outside the reach of His arms.

We will focus on the outcasts of the Bible this summer. We will look at the people who, in society's eyes, should never have received the love of God, and the people who should not have garnered the attention of Christ. We will learn these outcasts received God's love, not because they were popular, or always did the right thing, or had the most money, but simply because they were people. A few of the people we will talk about this year are Esther, Joseph, Zacchaeus, and the Samaritan woman at the well. Make sure to stop by and hear these amazing stories of God working in the lives of ordinary people who were ignored or shunned by the people around them.

Yes, Sidewalk will be a little different this year. There will be new volunteers to join our seasoned veterans. There will be new people to come and join our faith community. And there will be a new truck, bright yellow, just like our shirts. But our message remains the same:

GOD LOVES ME
GOD LOVES YOU
GOD LOVES EVERYBODY
